Climax of Mind
i watch my footsteps
fade within the break
of morning's light
as i feel your breath
in a weathered touch
against my flesh
in a cascade of thoughts
i am swept into the depths
of the ocean's allure
as it slowly kisses
against the shore
pulling back
in a teasing way
before inching
closer to me
i blush
like sanguine folds
across summer skies
as the sun emerges
less full then i
in remembering
through the climax
of memories
before they break
with the waves
the thunderous roar
echoes back
from the confines
of my lonely heart
as i watch
my footsteps fade
