Christmas Week Jitters

"It's Christmas week and I'm not ready". Is that what Mary said When she found herself in Bethlehem, No place to lay her head? I ponder this as I lament "The power was out for days. I was snowbound the week before. The rain just stays and stays. How can I get my shopping done? I have more fudge to make. The leaves, the howling brought down Await me and the rake. Christmas Eve is coming soon. I'm really in a tizzy. The clock hands spin around so fast, They leave me feeling dizzy." Just as sheer panic starts to reign, I give myself a shaking. I'll tackle one thing at a time, The cleaning and the baking. Just as sweet Mary calmed herself For this child she so adored, Christmas Eve will find me ready For the birthday of my Lord. This is a poem that was written in my book The name of my book is Lifetime Memories in Verse. I have had a long life and lots of memories. My book was published in 2019 By Drurys Publishing Co

This is an excellent poem, my dear sister of God's inspirational grace, Joyce. I love the flow of the words and the impact of the message regarding "Christmas Jitters." The descriptive excellence sends terrific images. The theme is right on point, and the tone and tenor move the piece down the page with much grace. Great job! Have a fantastic day, God's richest grace and blessings always. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53812816-sincerely-speaking-spiritually.
