Christmas Week Jitters

"It's Christmas week and I'm not ready". Is that what Mary said When she found herself in Bethlehem, No place to lay her head? I ponder this as I lament "The power was out for days. I was snowbound the week before. The rain just stays and stays. How can I get my shopping done? I have more fudge to make. The leaves, the howling brought down Await me and the rake. Christmas Eve is coming soon. I'm really in a tizzy. The clock hands spin around so fast, They leave me feeling dizzy." Just as sheer panic starts to reign, I give myself a shaking. I'll tackle one thing at a time, The cleaning and the baking. Just as sweet Mary calmed herself For this child she so adored, Christmas Eve will find me ready For the birthday of my Lord.
