Christmas Shopping In September

When I was a kid Christmas shopping was from a catalog. Store shopping started after Thanksgiving in the sixties In the seventies I was too poor to shop. In the eighties, we all complained that stores started Christmas too early, first of November. The unwritten rule was that it was not supposed to start until Black Friday! In the last few years Christmas trees went up the day after Halloween We were all upset about it. This year Christmas is starting in September. Many wait it out, shopping online now, like catalog shopping. Full-circle back to the sixties in a way.
