I picked you up early,
we went to your friends.
I watched as they all…
watched you.
You laugh lightly,
and bring joy in your words,
where there was none.
The Light of Our Lord,
shines brightly in your heart,
your eyes sparkle and glow.
I want you to know,
I want them to know,
That I…
am with you.
Not because I am perfect,
in fact and mostly certainly,
I am not!
Not because…
I want to brag!
It is because…
I am humbled,
that a tin soldier,
can be the hero…
for even a time,
to a winter fairy,
a true dancer for
Our Mighty King.
