Can you recall a time of great delight?
Have you thoughts of your sweetest memories?
Real life festivities on which to write,
I do- it was a day of misery;
See mother leaving had turned my world gray,
To me Christmas had lost joy and meaning;
Mother took all the joy she had that day,
And all I have left is this sad dreaming;
Still- my heart and soul fills this time of year.
My Christmas tree was bright but I was dark,
And oh mom, could you see my falling tear;
Getting on knees to pray I heard a hark,
Inside my room a glow was shimmering.
Can you believe mother was glimmering !
