Christmas Eve Snow

Considerable time has passed since I can remember A fresh snow having fallen on the 24th of December. About four o’clock this afternoon it looked like snow. So I stayed home, having no particular place to go. I got busy with putting odd and ends of stacks away Hated for Christmas to come with my house in disarray. When next I looked outside to check on the weather Snow had blanketed the ground … no bareness whatsoever! All traffic had stopped, there was absolutely no sound And a good feeling of calm quilted everything around.

You have shown the peaceful beauty of a Christmas snowfall, I especially like the last line!

Thanks, Michelle. Even though I'm not particularly fond of snow, there was something calm and beautiful about this Christmas Eve snowfall. The snow was almost gone completely by the day after Christmas. A special gift, I think.
