Christmas Day Happiness
Christmas in the wild woods of Vermont
Fluffy glistening snow puffs up pine trees,
Heading toward grandmas in a horse drawn sleigh,
One of Santa’s reindeer gives a small sneeze
In that once-a-year festive mood for sure
Singing carols at the top of our throats
Loving the familiar feeling so pure
Hitting the happiest musical notes.
Christmas lights sparkle a delightful way
Frosted sugar cookies on Auntie’s lap
Enthusiastic way to start the day
Baby cuddles his mommy, takes a nap
Father Christmas never had it this great.
My heart leaps as we reach grandma’s gate.
