Christmas Day

I was just a young lady holding a dream of a doll house, something spectacular with a porch and little people, I had always loved those wrapped around porches, with a high ceiling and maybe a tall steeple. Christmas was coming and the excitement arrived, I was awake all night and had much trouble sleeping, I wondered what Santa would bring me this year, the anticipation of that little girl was definitely seeping. I still didn’t think I deserved such a beautiful present, sure, I was good that year but wined like a mouse, mommy called me to open it and I couldn’t believe it, I had really been gifted my favorite doll house! I have a Godmother who was sick yet still showed her smile, she was gifted with a hammer and some nails, she pretended to be Santa and built me the house, at being my sweet angel to me she never did fail. She found the strength to build me what I wished for, and was there take a million pictures of my surprised face, my godmother passed soon after and I found out she made it, now my daughter plays with it with such innocence and grace.
