Chorley (Figure 01- Duxbury Woods Part 1)
Deep down in Duxbury woods.
How the River Yarrow flows.
Under a canopy of yellow and gold.
See the tall redwoods.
Reaching to the heavens.
Searching for the bright sunlight.
A great clay hill.
A struggle to climb.
A joy to behold.
Fallen trees litter the woodland floor.
Like a great pirate ship one lies.
And will for ever more.
Birds twitter high up in the branches.
Frogs splash in the cool water.
Dogs out for a walk bark in delight.
Ive walked through these woods many times.
In light and darkness.
They are familiar to me.
