Choices

Wanting to reclaim my inner strength Dissipate the vulnerability felt inside The shroud that makes me oblivious To the dangers surrounding me A target naïve to the core Soft and young at heart A part of me never grown up an innocence refusing to let go Experiences shape our lives Our attitudes our strengths Our choices shape our destinies Many choices require strength Others passively move us along Letting experiences sway us Instead of shaping our own destiny Through conscious selective process AP: Honorable Mention 2020 Submitted on January 9, 2018
