Cheery Gathering

*
Sun
Shining
Azure sky.
Barbie fired up
Soon the guests arrive
Bringing food and cold beer
Children play while adults chat
The steaks sizzling on the barbie.
Drinking and eating with much laughter
On this bright and warm August summer day.

Before I joined soup my idea of poetry was it must rhyme, how wrong was I. I've tried many other forms but always come back to rhyme. Tom
