Change, the Sole Season

Rains recede— front door, Autumn comes quiet— back door, Harvest moon’s no small, Last of leaves begin to fall, Winter waits ashore. __________________________________ Tanka |08.09.13| Topic: aging, change, seasons, winter Poet’s note: Spring is long over, summer too has gone, and rains have receded. When last of leaves begin to fall, thoughts of winter’s chill begin to stir. Change is the only current season. for Line Gauthier’s “ Bite Size Poem No.5 Poetry Contest”

...And you see as they say, an old dog learns no new trick, I've still not figured out how to use the mailbox.

Yes, I agree. It is not necessary but if you can and it is not forced, it adds to poem's beauty. Thanks for visiting/liking the poem.

Thanks dear poet for visiting, and such good words for the poem. I am sorry for responding so late as I visit the site not so regularly.
