Chains of Sorrow

Home alone at night I'd sit; No one to talk to; no one to listen And I wonder... How many tears can one woman possibly cry? I tried to put on fake smiles But the tears so easily found their way rolling down my cheeks. You told me that you loved me; But your love for me was nothing more than bitter painful words, lies, and betrayal. I never loved you just a little bit; I gave you my whole heart and your choosing to destroy it; A heart that once trusted and believed in you. Please have mercy on my shattered heart; Release me from these chains of sorrow.

So true. But when someone knows how to get inside your head just when i think i can release myself i get sucked back in to the same unhealthy situation. i just have to learn to believe in myself again
