Cemetery

Someone will enter there each day as loved ones gather to say goodbye and there the departed will stay as sadness lingers in the sky Etched in stone are inscribed the dates of life's beginning and its end Eternity lies within cemetery gates With sorrow and memories to lend Upon the heart grief is drawn As flowers are left upon cold stone To show our love for loved ones gone As into the wind our tears are blown 2-4-2023

Your simple and effortless writings, I always enjoy a lot dear Jacob ! A cemetery is a place where many of our loved ones sleep peacefully ! It is also a place where we have to enter as an eternal occupant one day. These thoughts fill me with awe whenever I enter a cemetery !

Amid the lingering sadness--peaceful sentiments you convey of the final resting place, where beloved return to remember--as tears are blown. True to real life poem, Joseph.

The resting place of this mortal coil, to borrow a bit of Shakespeare.

"In stone are the dates of life's beginning and its end." This thought touches my heart so deeply. Our lives are like a vapor, here one moment and gone the next. There is so much truth in your words, Joseph. This is tender and emotional, all at the same time. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy
