Celestial Chorus
CELESTIAL CHORUS
Spent sixty years in the search for Truth,
Lost childhood innocence and youth.
My tears that fall are ego-laced
A mournful loss not selfless grace
And as my sorrows are mounting up
So my need to spill this regretful cup.
A godlessness now rules this heart,
An angel appeared, too soon did depart.
But are angels bound by worldly dues
Or like mortal men, free to choose?
To God or Man their blind devotion?
Heavenly streams or a godless ocean?
Truth and love can be disguised
And angels, it seems, capable of lies.
Does the Celestial Chorus sing for me
Or will I be forever locked in vile humanity?
