Catlick
black cat
asleep inside
shelled out pumpkin
wide awake
when the wick is lit
what a wicked thing
this child has done
sent to bed
pouts
he was merely
having fun
likewise
the cat
as he licks
the child’s toes
with his claws
wicked kitty
thrown
outdoors
where
toilet paper
explores
the tree
he’s chosen
to weep in
Halloween is relentless
vows to cross the path
of each catalyst
