Catch Me If You Can
Catch me if you can,
I am quicker than the gingerbread man.
My life is running on,
my eyes are pierced towards the sun.
I can't wait any longer,
for you to become undone.
I'd love to stand at your door,
knowing one day you'd show,
but my life is flying by quickly,
and I must truly go.
Love is unable to hold me here,
and my want is not enough,
if I don't move quicker now,
then life just moves on.
So, please catch me before I leave,
run faster than I can see.
Though I am faster than the gingerbread man,
I know you can be faster than me.
Take me by the hand now,
please don't let me go,
but I must warn you,
I will not slow,
Won't look back,
And if I must,
I'll leave you in the dust.
