Captured By Time
Most believe it is movement yet, is it?
We move moment by moment thinking,
Years have passed but in fact,
has our time already stopped?
We measure it as if we understood it,
An animal has no use in measuring
They just pass through time not knowing
Free from the burden of time,
While capturing the minds of man
A calculation of measurements
Ending mans time, after time
Burdening thought’s of lost time
Captured by a clock while animals run free
Death we bring to them for their lack of time
While we are consumed by calculations
A car moves at 60 mph as we calculate it
An animal moves in their own time
Not expecting to intertwine those two times
One runs free the other is captured,
By Time.
