Valentine's Day warrants a holiday,
a romantic celebration of love.
A time to pretend cherubs fly above,
and suspend reality for one day.
Chocolates and scented roses revive
passion's intimate erotic feelings.
And Cupid's arrow shatters glass ceilings,
targeting fantasies where desires thrive!
Dreamers dream of love by a trickling stream,
where magical moments morph into hours.
And the giving of candy and flowers,
is a ritual honoring that dream.
A day for lovers to tend to their hearts
arouse one another and share a smile.
Entertain wild impulses for a while,
and reclaim the fun of being sweethearts.
