Candle of Introspection
"Every struggle in my life has been a lesson and made me stronger" - Quote
by - Constance La France
When nights are starless, and days are dark,
to steer the struggling life
through the mist of adversity isn’t easy.
When flowers turn pale, and the garden bare,
secret tear fills the fathomless sea within,
where broken hopes drown.
When the road is tortuous, and the time finite,
the confused mind loses focus,
wisdom evades the insight.
The pathway turns into a river,
I sail sanguine to the ordained destination,
not yet known.
I don’t measure distance and ponder over time,
but take the conceived route
in star-jeweled nights, and sunburst days,
and travel along the valley of flowers.
I don’t ask the purpose of the journey,
for I know it’s to rediscover me.
I don’t sink hope in the abyss of despair,
but travel content and stronger
on the new road I pave in time present.
I kindle the candle of introspection,
lighting up the corridor of comprehension
for my journey to the abode of bliss.
