Can We Swap

Our grandson who is three is quick to pick up on concepts, The latest concept he has mastered, Is that of volume as a concept, Addition and subtraction are also nearly mastered. I bought out the chocolate biscuits and said he could only have one, I also took one, He was way ahead of me in taking his first bite, After which seeing my biscuit was still a whole one, He very politely asked, Can we swap granddad.

Yes actually and refrained from taking a bite out of mine first. Apart from the fact that he has got two parents and two sets of grandparents and Aunties he sees often he gets a variety of fresh food especially grapes and bananas and between us and our eldest daughter who lives in our street with her partner we grow a variety of vegetables, so he gets good nutrition which is key in brain development. Glad you stopped by and like this little gem. I am sure he will provide me with lots more material to use. Regards David in NZ

Thanks Howard. I think we are the lucky ones. Bought up when the written word gave so much pleasure and still does. It seems to me too many are not using it either to inform or give pleasure but as a weapon of choice and those on the receiving end are afraid to open their emails or read a text little own a book. Long live poetry and poets who are keeping hope alive. Thanks for taking time to read my thoughts, David in NZ
