Calling Out Your Name
The first time I said your name was really when I saw it
When I heard your name it became my own
What simple thing called love between two peoples name
Never changes without the way they say it
It never changes without a doubt, names do not change
Once given to whom it is for, love is always in the name
I remember when I first started to know a name
But not a name that was for just me alone, ma and pa
The names do not change, because it is respect
Ma and pa, the people who provide, the first love
Provided a roof and food, to keep us healthy and love
Love is what they do when giving the name
A special thought that they have dedicated
The rest of your life to which reminds them your birth
Your name I remember that I have said it more than once
It is because when I call it I put lots of heart
When my voice changes it’s the passion I have for you
It is a different love toward you rather than my ma and pa
I say this because life goes a long time with our name
Spoken to us to give us identity to be able to do our destiny
So when I speak or call your name it is because we know
That every part of our soul can reach out to both our name
It calls us tugs us, and leads us to one another when we speak
So I do not mind your voice to call out my name
As I will be calling out yours each and everyday
