California Rain
California Rain
By Curtis Johnson
Hello Sunshine:
Everyone, including everyone, knows that you have been one faithful friend
You have graced our land with your Vitamin D, and granted pleasures at all the beaches. Because of your magnanimous supply, the world is provided all kinds of fruits, nuts, and veggies
O Sunshine, I’m sure you took no pleasure in droughts, fires, and evaporating dams. Perhaps you too sent up prayers for a little help from the clouds, to lessen the agony. Anyway Sunshine, now that we have some relief, I didn’t want you to be ignored.
We are so happy that El Nino has come to California, and paved our land with rain. I could not imagine a California without an abundant presence of you, Sunshine. And to have Rain and you Sunshine, is such a blessing, especially in the same season.
There were at least four years of an official drought, and we were dying without Rain. And have you noticed how brown my lawn had been, and how green it is now? O Sunshine, I'm sure you would agree, that there is nothing more beautiful than green shined upon by you.
O yes. We all can smile now and shout, “California Rain!” But Just remember Sunshine; without you, the is no “California Sunshine”
