Bygone Golden Days
BYGONE GOLDEN DAYS
I reminisce, I miss
my long-lost childhood days
when miseries, worries, complexities
of life were completely unknown.
Simple life circulated in safe carefree zone.
I reminisce, I miss my bygone golden days
When dynamic life flaunting multiple activities
in challenging channels running ceaseless continuous.
Time management was so hard!
Now old age offering ample time with no work.
Grown up children lead lives leaving their childhood in my lap.
Days turning bleaker, bitter, dull, gloomy, desolate.
I reminisce, I miss closeness of emotional bonds,
I shared with my parents, Grandparents, and intimate friends.
If only once I could meet them!
Those fervent feelings now to sigh!
I reminisce, I miss
My ardent amour, once reciprocated,
now sank and settled in abyss of memories
left behind, could not rewind.
I reminisce, I miss.
