Butterfly, a Beauty of Creation

a butterfly is a delicate darling it is a miracle of grace a dancing damsel arresting all the eyes it reels on wings of rainbow colors brashly coquetting on every flower a wisp of loveliness, floating like a dream a flutter of colors, making every eye agleam oh, matchless glory heaven sent fairy flitting amid emerald green hovering under sapphire skies why are you in such a hurry? why sneak to an unknown territory? are you rushing to meet your maids, before they shut their dewy eyes? frail is its frame short is its sojourn yet how glorious is its life casting spells of delight in every heart! 25 Dec. 2021 B forms,10 Plus Liner Poetry Contest Sponsor- Constance La France

I enjoyed your poem.... Last year I had a Monarch Butterfly, Who enjoyed the hanging basket of petunias, I had hanging on the porch. He would greet me every morning while I water the pot of flower. After awhile he would follow to every pot around the yard, I use to call him, My friend. Thanks, Valsa you have painted a lovely picture ~ Debra

In Honolulu, it is a challenge to see a butterfly before its wings have been clipped by hungry bulbuls, but one can not help but admire their determination to soldier on . . . Enjoyed, Valsa! Aloha!

Such cute description of a butterfly. And in blank verse. I tried one and I think it is the ast. I don't fel the rhythm of blank verse. You did well.

Very lovely use of language and sentiment! You show us clearly, though the span of an individual butterfly is brief, there is an entire evolution of God's spectacular love put into its presence and being. Wonderful writing!
