Butterflies Are Not Afraid To Fly
Oh, death
Your actions mock
The folly of your game
For you may take my life
But not my name
I do not fear the shadow
Of your specter
For having loved
I’ve tasted living’s nectar
Silence me
Take from me my presence
In passing I will leave
The aura of my essence
For I now know
Why living cannot die
Why butterflies
Are not afraid to fly
My life has had a
Length and breadth and width
You cannot threaten
with your feeble scythe
