Burn the Bodies

“BURN THE BODIES” Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice: act 2, scene 9. “Thus hath the candle singed the moth.” you were born for me and I for you. with eyes that meet and words so few, let the difference of years be the spark that starts the flame. let the moths die, let the flame rage and in this silent admiration, let me love you without knowing you. stare at me from across your home, let me stare at you from across your home, let me find in you what I’ve lost in all others before you. find in me what you’ve never been shown. together, we can love one another and walk happily into the same fate that comes for us all: death.
