Btw Published V Curated

The online poetry place Rattle is changing their competition terms to be previously 'uncurated' rather 'unpublished' I think it's a really positive thing to support and to try and get adopted more widely. It's so nice to share poetry, get feedback then consider entering it into competitions rather than keep anything possibly decent in your pocket. (Obviously not the new poem comps) Just thought I'd spread knowledge of the expression as small ripples across the poetry world can lead to big things.

For those that seek acknowledgement for their work ( and rightly so, that they should,) it is far preferable and much more accurate than un published. Enlightenment is valuable DD . A worthy subject well presented. Best wishes

It's a fantastic movement. Even I as a brand new poet find the rules so uncomfortable. I hope this takes off.

I appreciate your educational free verse, DD. After reading this, I found the Lit Mag News article by Timothy Green, editor of Rattle magazine (that you referred to), which gives an excellent explanation of why 'uncurated' is superior to 'unpublished.'
