Brooding Nimbus

Quote by author: "Its as if an angel wept and left behind all the tears of heaven's sorrow"
The floodgates of my thoughts wide opened and out came an outpouring of love and compassion from the font of my wicker nebulous heart* I saw him with my naked eye fighting for his life struggling for re-entry into God's kingdom; His mother cradled him softly in the softest enmesh of her aching arms, over and over she repeated his name like a sacred mantra. He was born with a congenital heart defect and wasn't expected to live over the age of one. She walked him to the window and inside the sky she saw a crepuscular light appear just before the sunrise As the child was bathed in light two blue eyes opened and a cupid mouth shaped an O, though nothing came out but a deep deep sigh; His chest heaved and with his eyes lifted to heaven he was taken by a brooding nimbus cloud that appeared out of no where. The rain began to fall gently from a heavy laden sky, his soul saturated by love, climbed to heaven without even once having had the chance to ask God, Why?

The only reason I did not put the date or the contest name is because I was told that we are not aloud to put it in the poem section, and if you are not a member of poetry soup we don't have any other section to put it in, so I had no choice but to exclude it, sorry about the mix up , Vie

This poem is so plaintive in tone, but so joyful in essence. God's ways are so mysterious. We cannot ask why things are so. God has a plan. Fortunate are those who can believe that his plans are not for our doom but for our welfare. Beautiful poem, dear Rose

absolutely breathtaking in every line the building crescendo....the enchantment of clarity....deep into mother-child we voyage caught in the pinions when they are at the most vulnerable period, devoid of a life with loving memories we see the evaporation of a future....excellent Rose absolutely excellent

The child was destined for heavenly bliss. A sad but graceful poem. There's a feast in heaven. May one day I will join too. Mystic, a poem to remember. Hugs.
