Broken Rutter

"Two ships that pass in the night" In a thick fog with fog horns Blairing, broken rutters_tense Situation like marriage Marriage where partners lack love "Two ships that pass in the night" Afraid to touch each other Just touch in negative ways "Strangers in the night stealing_ Glances" afraid to hold love Glances that sometimes hate__kill Needs mending so love can heal Why do couples do this to (each other) For so so many years "Two ships that pass in the night" Blairing, broken-rutters ___tense

So true and so often experiened, really great metaphor, Sara! Yes, my windows are "sound-proof" so I can sleep quietly. Too many dreams at night, sometimes I dream a poem, wake up and write it down...Have a nice weekend...Gert

Great poem...and indeed why? it's a question people have been asking forever. "Why do we hurt the ones we love the most?" Great concept to bring up Sara. Loved the poem. Love Destiny

Indeed....a story one sees too often in "people watching"....you can tell by observation. Sad.

very very true and why? If I had to answer why I'd say because changing takes courage. Because better the devil you know than the devil you don't know (sigh) I left. Please read my sestina? (I liked the _ line as you use it!) Light & Love

I loved this and the meaning. I have often wondered why we act the way we do with the ones we are supposed to love honor and cherish. I have often thought why is it so easy to sling words of anger at each other but so hard to say i love you and I am sorry. Even if you do feel you were not wrong. I will never utter a word in anger that I could regret later on, no matter what you can never take those back.
