Brilliant Pink Flares

No longer squinting I contemplate the yellow-red ball on the blue horizon It dips toward its denouement shedding a ray of light a degree of warmth between ticks of the clock... Its ghost sends up brilliant pink flares ~ O, ache, my heart! Like them, my hopes fade into the dusk April 25, 2020 Slipping Soul Sunsets into the Sea Poetry Contest Sponsor: Chantelle Anne Cooke

I really like the imagery in this one... gray clouds here again...I so miss the color of the sky at rise and dusk and the warmth of sun in-between... best wishes in the contest... hugs
