Break Free

"Do we impose restrictions on painters as to what colors they may use, and how many brush strokes they may apply? " ~~The poet~~ My cognitive mind is speeding faster than I can record. They meld into one, all the stories that I have stored. My muse throwing phrases at me that I can’t be reading. Faster than I can record, my cognitive mind is speeding. My passion is full force, it has declared it will not be tamed. I debate ad nauseum about the scope at which I aimed. My words thrown down in supplication, for a source. It has declared it will not be tamed, my passion is full force. I decline to be bathed in abject defeat, I intend to break free. My endeavor isn’t dead, intellect serves as a panacea for me My muse and I must find impassioned advocacy to meet. I intend to break free, I decline to be bathed in abject defeat. The solution I submit, it will be extraordinary and unconventional. A dramatic escape from all restrictions unintentional. My salvation will depend on breaking free with no desire to quit. Well, it I just want to put a smile on peoples faces.. also, I do try to place everyone, not always first place... this one was important to showcase peoples poems.. there are unfair judges, some who are bias to certain people and against certain people.. slowly you work out where to enter poems and where not to.. but most of the time judges choose what appeals to them.. as you know poetry is abstract and subjective.

I like your idea of rewarding all that put the effort in to enter the contest. So long as no one worthy is left out, no one can say the judging is unfair !!!! (As may have happened once or twice in Soup's Contest history). Thanks S.O. :)

Sometimes I get the urge to just break free of rules and restrictions and write like there is no tomorrow. no judges, no one to say, Hey you made mistake. Answer them by saying no it was an intentional. I wrote this while in such a mood. no motivation beyond breaking free. Thank you for your wonderful words as always my dear friend.

Well if it isn't a sight for saw eyes ! (Whatever that means, but Mum always used to say it when she was pleased to see someone). I have been missing you ! Had to write a poem about Stoicism, and realised I wasn't at all stoic, so I decided to take it a step further and break free. I then remembered my baby granddaughter had written and performed a song of that name so I decided to include her song in my post. Great to hear from you Robert, thanks for the comment :)
