Brainy Thoughts of Remorse
I have seen it back home
Where some people don't have homes,
Under age and going for a smoke
Teenagers barely grow old.
Boys keep chasing money while girls learn to elope
No one is accountable for what they stole,
A toast was proposed to my generation who's love was abandoned.
Just like you, I was born with my fists closed
For my loneliness and cold I was provoked
For my devotion and love I had to sacrifice my rose.
They say money is a code to open the vault of fame.
What will God say to those who left the world by their hands and rope?
Believers know that judgement day won't be postponed,
So they repent each day revitalising their hope.
Heaven gave each life a promising role.
Motivated by your passion to climb academic stones
You were doing better at school until you had your first phone,
Several years later you can't cope nor lean by the pole
When you realise that you have been on failing mode.
What if you learned to pave your academic ways without expecting benefits or any praise?
For my zone of knowledge and the prose I composed
Many trees and roses I used to plant back home,
Stories unfold when they are told.
The is no lessons in perfection
For what's perfect need no corrections,
You have to find a better way to cope
Before the dusty streets swallow you hole.
