Notes About The Poem

written for monoku contest on Marc Chagall artwork.. sponsored by Dilly Dally. Was interesting to go through his artwork. .. one that loved poetry.  Painter of Love!
even in death, love lives on. And this specific artwork shows me grief and timeless love as well as nostalgia...

bouquet with flying lovers

my love breathes amidst grief ~ kissing glass-winged dreams of spectral moon lilies…

Love Chagall. Every day I wake up, gives me chance to explore another sunrise -- I feel blessed and grateful just to be alive. I can control little outside of myself...but, if blessed to be healthy of body and mind, I can control how I react. Love is a choice. A thoughtful write. Makes me think.

Oh I see we did the same one... Now that is interesting.. I think it was the flowers that captured my attention at first, as you know, they always do.. no dahlias in this one though... I like your interpretation on the painting, as he was grieving for his wife when he finished it.. As you know, Im not really an art fan, but I thought I would give this one a go... A lot of artists seemed to have moved to Paris in those days.. Best of luck in the contest.. nice imagery in your one liner..
