Bound
You’ve already won,
And I am guilt,
Spitting, writhing beneath you,
And yet you gloat over me,
Though my spirit cannot move,
Cannot fight, cannot love
Helpless in chains,
I lie bound to you,
Shackled to the past,
As you drag my dead heart
Across the pain I’ve forged,
And I cannot forget
Unforgiving you remain,
And hatred seethes inside me,
Though it is not for you,
But for my flint heart not yet cold,
Cursed to care, but never love,
And I beg you for release.
