Sunrise shrinks darkness into small shadows
cowering behind clouds blocking its rays.
And unleashes colors shackled to black
as Dawn sets ebony heavens ablaze.
A scarlet sun inks cotton candy clouds
pink, as if painted by the hand of God.
And as its crimson rays caress my skin,
I feel my soul approvingly applaud.
A sensual sensation cocoons me,
as my body is encased in sunshine.
And awed by my connection to nature,
conciseness, and reality align.
Upon God declaring, “Let there be light,”
sunbeams lit the day, moonbeams lit the night.
