Listen to poem:
I take no shelter from the force barely do I prepare for changeable weather I'll withstand these winds the North Wind is predictable in it's whimsy I'm as solid as the trees as fluid as the grasses I may never again be swept off my feet as there is a darkness behind my eyes so deeply embedded the great God cannot separate me from it connect me to Springtime! daffodil lift my spirits! or else let me be lifted into the clouds join them in their slate greyness may I drift as they do never knowing the moment I'll fall as rain I cannot forget Boreas is capricious we can all change our minds and change them back again whilst neither the wind or Spring flowers move me right now I will feel the sun on my face before too long be graced by weather that caresses and comforts I'm unsheltered but unscathed hopeful that hopelessness is as quick to pass as inclemency until then I will absorb the forces of nature and stand my ground

It's what you've got to do rather than be swept away - thank you for your kind comment x

The line "unsheltered but unscathed" describes this so perfectly. Beautifully done :)

Thank you Hat, Waterhouse's paintings are beautiful (mostly already from poems though, so I can't wade in as an amateur ruining them haha). I love doing these ekphrasis, thank you for your support x
