Borealis

Aurora Borealis shines on high, As the celestial display of the night. Oh, how harmoniously does she fly, When washing earth's canvas in divine light. Did Iris paint these ribbons on sweet Nyx? Perhaps the Night desired a design, Some blues and greens to dress her vast onyx, In contest with the light of Selene's shine. Her sash of iridescent hues bring joy, Far lovelier than those we own at price. Immortal lights that no one can destroy, And oh, the yearning that she does entice! For how can I erase her from my mind, When in her luminance I am entwined? 8/19/16
