Bony
The arms were bent to such degree
my elbows formed a pickle.
And rolled up sleeves revealed my bones
that arm sweat came to trickle.
My bony ankles swollen rocks,
they matched my knobby knees.
My hip bone circling round my waist
would balance me with ease.
The collar bone came to protrude
and draped my skin to fit.
My swollen knuckles ceasing up
that both my thumbs were split.
My chin bone drawn to a shun.
It's dimple prone to thirst.
My forehead clammy to the touch
for those who'd reach it first.
A rib cage held my heart inside
with bones as strong as bars.
My heart so captive to the cause
it only saw the stars.
