Bolide
Bolide
Can I catch your heart
I will burn
To stop your fall
I stand beneath your headlong rush
To hold fast a falling star
Though these hands tremble
To touch the meteor of your comets tail
Cold and desolation to the craters dark
My star
Should I watch you blaze so brightly
Only for a moment
Or let you plummet to my heart
Will you halt your desperate knell
To the saddened depths drawn
Or take me to the ash
Of your final glory
Un-witnessed
By us both
I see you falling my star
Roman candle in your flaming skies
Do you know of the dark decent
Sent to devour your light
Though flinch I might
My perfect crashing star
To catch you
And hold your fire
To my heart
