Blue Bird

Blue bird,
you perch on trees,
by the forest's far rim.
Dressed in silk robes of sapphire hues,
with tapering tail and a bill so sleek,
singing in melodious strains,
your sweet notes ringing loud.
How I love you,
Blue bird.
