~ rewrite ~
I love you ...
in wild whispers
not in the wash of midday
but where night is crimped in mystery
where grasses tremble with things unseen
and twilight bloats in apprehension
you are dark blossom ...
I breathe you ...
the sweet of your petals
thorns etching flesh with fiery phrase
your tang dancing my tongue
delicious, dusky voice tickling my ears
with forbidden suggestion, and licentious wish
you are passion's pyre ...
I need you ...
as night needs moonbeams
to shred the shadows into shards of lustre
and dapple the dark with desires
you draw me to your wonder
the soft, evocative places, melting ... delicate
you are sacred bloom ...
I love you ...
far from bright day's splendor
Let me be your earthy, ebon soil
your tendrils' tender aliment, erotic
let me course your depths and nourish you
let me seed the bounty of your breast
you ... midnight's flower ...
my black rose.
