Black-Hearted Beautiful Man

He is the kind of man women dream of when they are awake. They see him and they want him. To feel his touch, they ache. Though beautiful, he’s trouble. Adoring slaves of women he can make. He toys with them a while . . . then later makes their poor hearts ache. How many hearts (I wonder) will he continue endlessly to break? I yearn for his comeuppance, and for his black heart to ache and ache. April 24, 2021 for the Writing Prompt - Ache - Poetry Contest of Constance La France
