Bittersweet Christmas Memories
As I open Christmas boxes of yesteryear
Deep in thought, wishing you were still here
Hearing your laughter and voice in my head
While looking at many ornaments so red
Bright Christmas red was your favorite color
Every wall you decorated in red splendor
Christmas was such a special time with you
Memories are bittersweet and make me blue
I still take out that special little Christmas tree
And display it for all to remember and see
Memories of you are instilled in me forever
I wish we could spend one more Christmas together
