Bittersweet

Remembering the days of old, a daring young man and his sidekick love, climbing and climbing Mason Rock Hill atop the dusty road. It was a summer eve. like so many before, yet unknowingly unaware I didn't even ponder what was in store. The sun had fallen and the moon had crept, the stars began to shine and cold beer we sipped. We watched the endless stars falling in streaks of silver dream and by the time the new day arrived in the silence, you were loving me. Though many years have come and gone and you my love have vanished like the evanescent dawn, yet with each day I still see your smiling face through the laughter of our daughter and the grin upon her face. bittersweet the sultry july breeze through the trees
