Birth of Hate
" Get in here!!"
Slow walk, head down, staring into a blank space.
reliving the times before.
sudden violence, held by the wrist, twisting.
"Stand still!!"
"SLAP!", on the back of the head,
falling, turning, hardness of the floor.
quickly, jerked up, bone pops.
again held by the wrist. quiet, eternal quiet.
"CRACK",
pain, stinging pain,
from a razor strap, across the back,
across bare legs, over and over,
pain, burning pain. tossed to the floor,
balled up in a heap,
like trash being thrown away.
"KICKED",
by a foot before fear leaves you alone,
goes into another room, satisfied.
"HATE", feeling its birth.
"HATE", burned into the flesh,
a scar worn through life,
a reminder of the coldness of betrayal.
never to cry again,
"HATE",
carried to the grave by an injured soul.
where tears quietly fall,
for a life that might have been.
