Birdsong (Double Tanka)

BIRDSONG (double Tanka) hear the sound of blood it’s out then in the window rushing through the veins from the very heart of those unseen in their tree top nests “wake up weary heads this trip you’ve won has steps years and miles to go its gift is heard in our song the name of the gift is life”

ok, I am out of new poems of yours to see again! anyway, I wanted to thank you so much for reading my three finalist poems. Which one did YOU like best of those three? have you entered your NEXT three for the contest after July? It is so hard to decide what to use, dont' you think? well, I shouldn't stay too long here tonight. I want to just do more soup in the a.m. goodnight now. Andrea

Somehow I think you are seeing yourself in these birds, Daver. Could be wrong, but just a thought that the "sitter" might be looking down on man. Very nice! Love, Carolyn
