Bird Traffic

The snow is all gone Winter has ended It is the Spring season Bird chirper sounds cheery Empty bird houses filled A mother sparrow Chooses a pink birdhouse To nest her babies The other birds busy Gathering the twigs Then they gather straw For building their nests Upon the highest branch Being safe from danger Oh-I am not certain If i saw a red squirrel Entering the red birdhouse Making a nest for her young

Hello Caren, well not all mother robins choose a birdhouse to make a nest. This mother bobin chose a hanging lant for her bird nest. She is one happy mother. Hugs.

Hello Denis Spilchuk, yes the squirrels are tricky creatures. Denis a robin laid eggs in a hanging planter. The babies are not born yet. Robins are smart birds. Take care my friend.

Birds are such a pleasure to watch, as they pick up twigs, leaves, tiny sweet papers dropped carelessly on the ground by humans and whatever else they find. Male birds build nests, and practice a rather sophisticated dance to attract female birds, spring and sunshine makes them really randy. Have been off soup for a while my friend, my turn for hospital read my comment to Alexis's poem bye-bye. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

We have a small hole-in-the-wall by kitchen window, so I have a perfect view of the finches as they come and go. This year it looked as if there were two nesting pairs. However, what I find amazing is the way the birds swoop into the small cavity never missing.....Wonderful radar.
