Bird Brains

Saw two love birds arguing,
not a pretty flight – one flew
left while still holding on -- 
as the other persisted right;

the tree-trunk ahead held its ground...

I know, afraid when you read anything I write, myself mostly self educated. My guess, you know better than most of us, even the writer. I play drums, thinking often of Buddy Rich who sometimes struggled with articulation because he never learned to read music entirely. Lot of natural talent. One of the greatest.

I know a few with bird brains, and a few cuckoos.... you always make me smile and always make me think with your poems... the problem with this world is that people dont look at themselves, so blame the other.... if only everyone had an open mind.. All the best my friend..

I have never seen love birds arguing. Instead they make love.l have always observed that they have marital fidelity. Once l had many lovebirds. They mate with only one chosen partner. If an intruder comes, they fight and drive it away. Quite an interesting poem. It made me smile.

Thank you, Empress; just trying not to be so serious all the time. Everything does not have to have a profound message, as my wife tells me when she refuses to cook.
