Beyond Reach
We skip along seeking
What is beyond reach
We can't grapple for a sunny day
Just enjoy it when it comes
Those hours of craved sunshine
We waste on the next pursuit
Something beyond reach
That distracts our mind from the moment
Then there's the waiting
The watched pot that never boils
Out of reach, staked out
Dreams that drift away
Beyond reach when in your grasp
Beyond reach when longed for
Beyond reach when the moments past
Beyond reach forever foresaw
